BRIELLA

BRIELLA
It was not unusual for a witch of her power to desire sleep as most humans do.
Briella was very special indeed.
She has lived five centuries.
Father Time was kind to her.
She has a porcelain smooth silky skin without any signs of aging.
Long black lustrous, shiny, straight hair whose length is below her buttocks.
One would think Briella was at a day spa frequently.
No, that was not the case.
All her physical gifts were bestowed upon her by the Greek God Apollo.
She had beautiful dark eyes, a very dark brown, which appeared to the public as black.
Briella was a very powerful, beautiful, intelligent, and talented witch.
She has the gift of prophecy, clairvoyance.
When she looks upon a person, she is able to see their entire past, present and future.
Briella is cautious of what she tells people when in a prophetic state.
Not everyone will comprehend her gift, therefore, some will be afraid of her.
She is benevolent and has been both good and evil during her long lifetime.
Briella, as not to be recognized by other people with clairvoyant gifts, created a protective shield of sorts.
This shield did not allow those of her own kind see her as a witch but a simple human.
She is masterful in her art of magic.
Apollo taught her well.
Back to her sleeping pattern.
She only slept a few hours a night.
Enough to refresh her body and mind.
Afterall, she was the undead amongst the living.
Her favorite color of clothing is black.
With all the riches she accumulated during her lifetime, she could afford the finest clothing.
Dior, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Armani just to name a few.
Due to her charm, these designers both living and dead, many were delighted to gift clothing.
Finely tailored clothes to fit her slim body.
She truly appreciated their kind gestures.
Briella is very charming and has a delicate look about herself.
During the centuries lived, she was a witness to an evolving world.
Peace and war.
Sleeping by candlelight in the late sixteenth century to bright electrical lighting in the twentieth century.
She made enduring friendships during her lifetime, including members of royalty from various continents.
The royal courts welcomed her with open majestic doors.
The British, French, Spanish, and African courts of royalty adored her.
The Kings, Queens, Princesses and Princes loved her.
They saw her through a lens, which saw her as royalty as well.
Royal members enjoyed sitting down with her sipping tea to hear her charming tales.
They were magically charmed by Briella.
Briella travelled quite a lot.
Travelling via steamships to modern day airplanes.
Briella ate the finest foods and most expensive wines.
She lived and continues to live a luxurious life.
The God Apollo gifted her with immortality.
At times she contemplated whether it was a gift or a curse.
She lived to bury her longtime beloved friends.
That was the sad part of the gift.
Her outliving her friends.
Peculiarly, they never questioned why she did not age physically.
They knew intuitively that she had a gift and was probably not of the human species.
Nonetheless, her friends loved her without prejudice or fear.
Briella had the most interesting conversations with her friends.
Love.
Her many adventures in life.
Her friends loved her stories.
Some wondered if what she narrated was true or false.
They didn’t care.
Briella was a brilliant young woman that amused and charmed them.
Due to the gift of immortality, there were moments of unhappiness and loneliness.
She saw her friends both born and die.
Immortality was more of a curse than a gift.
She cursed Apollo for bestowing this “gift” upon her.
Apollo smiled from the celestial heavens.
Briella wanted to be normal like every human being.
She didn’t need the gift of prophecy; she could live happily without it.
Yet, she found this gift amusing and so did her friends.
All her friends admired the three-karat emerald ring on her left ring finger.
It sparkled during the night and day.
The ring was put on her finger by Apollo.
At times she attempted to remove the ring, but it was magically attached.
Unremovable.
A reminder of immortality.
A gesture of marriage to the God.
Briella will continue her adventures and continue to befriend people of her stature.
The never-ending life.
Briella.
